I appreciate how amazing Interactive Brokers Limited is and the fact that their commission system ensures that their vested interest remains on the traders making profits. However, I have to question the minimum deposit requirement of $10,000 which is incredibly high, even for an ECN account.

When I first saw the spreads being offered by Interactive Brokers I literally rubbed my eyes and thought I was dreaming. Their spreads are in the decimal points and this just means maximum profits for all traders and I have to say that this just makes me adore this broker even more. Aside from the amazing services they provide, it seems like all they want is for their traders to succeed.

I love the innovations that the trading platforms of Interactive Brokers provide to us traders. The Trader Work Station, Trader FX and IB Web Trader all come together to just give you a number of options to work with when trading. I can literally trade anywhere even when I am in the can, makes things really convenient.

Aside from being a U.K.-based broker, one of the things that really drew me into Interactive Brokers was the number of international and local bodies that regulate all of their business transactions, including the SEC, CFTC, FSA and IIROC. This gives me a sense of security that no other brokers have so far been able to give me.

The commissions of Interactive Brokers is pretty steep at $5 round turn and is rather troubling particularly if you are not really trading large positions. Aside from that their platform is rather intimidating and isn’t at all newbie friendly becoming quite daunting for even experienced brokers.
